This training is in-person at Nature's Playhouse in Ferndale, MI. When you register, it will ask for your email. We will keep in touch with you via the email you enter regarding updates, parking, and other details for the training.
SMC Tutor Training leads to certification and a license to deliver the SMC program in your practice. Attendance of all of the following sessions are mandatory to achieve this goal:
1. Training Orientation will be held on Tuesday, 9/10/24 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM EST on Zoom, and is led by the Training Coordinator. During orientation the Training Coordinator will provide registrants with an overview of what SMC Tutor Training involves.
**Attending Orientation LIVE is optional, but we will record the session and you must watch the recording to be eligible to attend training on Sept 20th & 21st.**
2. Two training workshops held on 9/20/24 & 9/21/24 from 9 AM - 4 PM will teach the knowledge, attitude, and skills required for certification and delivery of the SMC program. Note that there are pre-learning materials to review ahead of each session. These pre-learnings will prepare the participant to engage in the hands-on activities during training workshops.
3. The implementation meeting will be held on 9/24/24 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM EST, and is led by our Licensing Director. During this meeting the Licensing Director will provide an overview of how to begin integrating the SMC program into your practice. Bring your questions. We hope this meeting will get you off to a great start, and our team is always available to answer any questions you may have at ashley@growingforwardtogether.org.

We have CE credits available for this training as well. 18 Nursing CEs, and 18 SW CEs.
